The game ended with a score of 38-0 Spartans win. Junior Quarterback Bryce Ott was happy for his guys. “I saw a lot of good things from the defensive side, holding them to zero points…offense came out strong, and that was pretty good,” said Ott. He praised the offensive line and receivers for stepping up and making plays. However, he thinks the team can do better, as this “wasn’t their best game,” including discipline penalties like false starts. He believed the team will get better, and have the right preparation for next week.
Oshkosh North Head Coach Luke Ott was also proud of his team for getting the win, and said how “they did what they were supposed to do,” but mentioned some things they need to clean up before next week's game. “We struggled in the run game. Defensively we struggled; we didn’t attack like we should’ve, but these are things we’re going to learn and get better at,” said Ott. He told his guys to enjoy the win for tonight, and be prepared for practice next week to beat Green Bay West.
