Green Bay public schools enter first weekend of 2026 football with success

GREEN BAY — With the first major weekend of high school football under their belts, several Green Bay Area public schools have non-conference wins under their belt going into FRCC play next week.

The Green Bay Southwest Trojans pulled off their first victory in several years with a 33-13 win over Sheboygan South on Friday, Aug. 21.

Green Bay West

The Green Bay West Wildcats started off their season with a 20-13 victory over Omro. 

After being tied 7-7 going into the half, the Wildcats found a way to harness put up 13 more points to give them their first win over the season at home.

The Green Bay Preble Hornets pulled off a 40-37 victory over West Bend West (WBW) on Friday, Aug. 21 at home.
