How did you get started playing your sport(s)?
My parents used to be tennis couches for St. Norbert College, so I have been around tennis for as long as I can remember. My parents are also very into marathon running so I have been exposed to running long distances (5ks, 10ks, half marathons) for ten years.
What is your favorite part of this sport?
My favorite part of running is the amazing experiences that come along with it- like traveling for races and meeting new people through the sport. I also love the active lifestyle that it gives me and the sense of accomplishment when I reach my goals. My favorite part of tennis is how strategic and mentally tough it is- and how it is still possible to beat someone that is better than you on paper if you are smart.
What is the most challenging part of this sport?
The most challenging part of running is the toll it takes on your body and how to fuel properly. The most challenging part of tennis is how mentally draining it can be!
