The Seymour Thunder defeated the Ashwaubenon Jaguars 3-1 in non-conference volleyball action Tuesday night.

It’s what all kids dream of: winning a national title with your team. For Seymour High School alumnus Wyatt Kaczrowski, the dream came true earlier this month.

Fueled by a new group of players, No. 3-seeded Ashwaubenon turned back No. 6 Seymour 57-46 in its regional opener Friday in front of a large home crowd.

Sending 13 boys wrestlers to sectionals, Bay Port had a big opportunity to advance a number of kids to state.

The Bay Port wrestling team had 13 individuals place in the top four — including five champions — to advance to sectionals as the Pirates won their WIAA Division 1 regional at Green Bay West on Feb. 11.

In a battle of young squads, the Seymour girls’ basketball team came out triumphant 49-17 over Little Chute in a nonconference game Jan. 10.

The West De Pere girls’ basketball team pulled away in the second half during a 65-39 Bay Conference victory over Seymour on Dec. 20.
