GREEN BAY—The Green Bay womens’ basketball team couldn’t overcome a series of cold spells on both ends of the floor and fell to the Wright St. Raiders by a final of 70-58 in a game played Dec. 30 at the Kress Events Center.

DE PERE—It’s bragging rights for the next 365 days when De Pere and West De Pere meet on the hardwood.In this year’s edition, the Phantoms defeated the Redbirds 71-61 in a boys’ basketball game played Dec. 30 at WDPHS.

DE PERE—The St. Norbert College mens’ basketball team used a 24-2 run midway through the first half and a 26-8 second half run to lift them to a 76-46 victory over the UW-Superior Yellow Jackets in a first round (Nicolet National Bank Holiday Tournament) game played Dec. 29 at the Mulva Sports Center.

Awards for the fall season in girls’ tennis and volleyball were recently announced in the Fox River Classic Conference.

GREEN BAY—Whatever frustrations the Phoenix had in the first 12 games of the 2019-20 season were put to rest Saturday afternoon as the Green Bay women’s basketball team built a 34-point halftime lead in route to a 65-44 victory over Northern Kentucky in a game played Dec. 28 at the Kress Events Center.
