The Suamico village board agreed to continue benefits through March 31, as authorized through the FFCRA extension signed into law late last month.

The Howard-Suamico school board officially set part of April’s ballot, and with it a pair of referendum questions at its Monday, Jan. 11, meeting.

The village board voted 5-2 Monday, Dec. 21, in favor of a series of fee increases for village services, permits and property use for 2021.

The Howard-Suamico school board learned Monday, Dec. 14, plans are moving forward to bring students back as part of the district’s Return to Learn plan.

The village was reimbursed almost $1,800 more than its original allocation to pay for unbudgeted expenditures incurred this year due to the pandemic.

The board authorized staff to bid out the Riverside Drive reconstruction project planned next year in Suamico’s Historic Downtown.

The bulk of the meeting involved a presentation by NEW Water, which next year will increase its budgeted sewer charges to Suamico by about 14 percent.

SUAMICO – The Howard-Suamico School District announced an updated plan to phase students back into in-person learning on Nov. 19.

Because village employees are using less PTO during the pandemic, the village board voted to allow them to carry over an additional unused 40 hours.
