Bellevue has welcomed two new staff members. Kyle Casper is the village’s new recreation supervisor and Adam Baeten, the new engineering technician.

Over the last several years, the Village of Bellevue has been working to provide the community with safe pedestrian and bike lane opportunities.

Following a public hearing and a brief amount of discussion, trustees passed the 2020 operating budget for the Village of Bellevue in a close 3-2 vote.

Village Administrator Diane Wessel said Andy Rowell has accepted the position. Rowell was a finalist from the initial search conducted earlier this year.

Starting in 2020, the fire and rescue department will have personnel staffed 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year.

For the second time this year, Bellevue is without a Department of Public Works director, following the resignation of recently hired Steve Brueggeman.
