Siblings: I come from a large family with seven brothers and two sisters, including one older brother and one older sister. Growing up in a competitive household helped me shape drive and passion for sports.

Career Highlight: One of my biggest career highlights came in a game against Two Rivers, where I scored 30 points and led my team in scoring. I accounted for half of our team’s total points and nearly outscored the opposing team on my own.

How did you get started playing your sport?
I got into sports because of my dad. He would always tell me how good he was at basketball and football, and that motivated me to follow in his footsteps and push myself to go even further in the sports he loved.

How has the balance between academics and athletics changed for you from freshman to senior year?

As a freshman, it was challenging trying to balance school, sports and adjusting to a new environment. Over time, I became more disciplined and developed better time management skills. By my senior year, I’ve learned how to stay focused and succeed both in the classroom and in athletics.

What is your favorite part of this sport?
My favorite part is the competition and being part of a team. I enjoy the energy of the game and working together with my teammates to win.

What is the most challenging part of this sport?
The most challenging part is staying consistent and pushing through adversity, especially during long seasons and against tough competition.

What has been your most memorable experience in high school sports so far?
My most memorable moment was winning an overtime game and seeing the crowd rush the court. The excitement and energy from that moment is something I’ll never forget.

Do you have a bucket list goal that pertains to your sport?
To play at the next level and continue improving my game as far as I can take it.

Do you have any pre-game rituals/routines/superstitions?

I lock in mentally by listening to music before games and always wear arm sleeves as part of my routine.

Dream vacation destination?
The Bahamas — I would love to swim with dolphins and sea turtles.

Favorite food?
Macaroni and cheese.

Random fun fact about you?
I’m very competitive in everything I do, not just sports. Even chores…

Any hobbies outside of your sport?
Spending time with family and friends and playing video games like NBA 2K and Madden.

Favorite movie/TV show?

All American.

Looking forward to most about graduating?
I’m looking forward to starting the next chapter of my life and working toward my future goals.

Any memorable coaches or teammates you’d like to shout out?
I want to give a shoutout to my basketball coach, James Devalt, and my football coach, Coach Niko, along with my teammates Josiah, a great wide receiver, and Demarion, a phenomenal junior wide receiver. They’ve all pushed me to improve and supported me throughout my journey.

Future Plans? (college, major, career, etc.)
I plan to continue playing basketball in college and work toward building a successful future for myself.
