Howard’s Labor Day weekend celebration is back with live music, great food and one of the community’s favorite traditions.
The Village of Howard will host its annual Community Fireworks Show on Sunday, Sept. 6 at the Howard Commons Activity Complex, 550 Commons Place. The free celebration will feature NEW Dueling Pianos beginning at approximately 5:30 p.m., followed by fireworks at approximately 8:30 p.m.
“Our Labor Day celebration is always one of the biggest nights of the summer at the Howard Commons, and we’re excited to welcome NEW Dueling Pianos this year,” said Howard Commons Activity Director Lisa Swan. “With live entertainment, food trucks, roller skating and fireworks, it’s going to be a fun night for the entire community.”
Shortly before the music begins, the village will unveil its Patriot’s Flag Mural, created with the help of more than 250 community artists.
The evening will include:
• Patriot’s Flag Mural unveiling
• NEW Dueling Pianos beginning at approximately 5:30 p.m.
• Food Truck Rally starting at 5 p.m.
• Cold drinks available for purchase in the Biergarten starting at 3 p.m.
• Roller skating starting at 3 p.m.
Guests are encouraged to bring their family, friends, lawn chairs and blankets and make an evening of it. Admission is free.
Carry-in food and beverages are not permitted. Purchasing from the event’s food trucks and Biergarten helps support the Howard Commons and makes community events like the annual fireworks show possible.
