Let Me Be Frank is bringing a 1960s-loved American sitcom to the stage during Halloween weekend.
Herman’s Halloween is a spoof of The Munsters, which is putting the spook and the slapstick into the Backstage at Meyer Theatre for a weekend of fun shows.
“The show follows two stories,” said Frank Hermans, Let Me Be Frank’s primary owner and playing Herman Munster. “We follow Ana’s story, her move to Wisconsin and her ulterior motives, while also following a love affair with a Fuller Brush salesman.”
Herman’s Halloween was originally written eight years ago, titled Manitowoc Munsters, and was crafted in two months. The show was revised and will be back on stage for laughs and laugh tracks Oct. 30-Nov.1.
Running back to its roots in dinner theater, Let Me Be Frank is offering dinner before the show.
There will be a buffet featuring chicken, beef tips, mashed potatoes, vegetables, dinner rolls and a dessert display. There are also gluten-free and vegetarian options, but you must request your choice.
With rehearsals starting this week, the crew is amping up for a great set of shows and an even better escape into the past with 1960s music, 1960s sitcoms and 1960s lovers. Visit letmebefranks.com/item_show/hermans-halloween for ticket information and more.
