ASHWAUBENON – The mill rate backed by the school board Oct. 28 won’t be going up after voters approved two referendums this spring.

The school board unanimously decided to extend remote learning districtwide into the Thanksgiving break, but wants students to come back soon after.

With clear masks being expensive, the Optimist Club recently made it possible for the co-op to only have to purchase one box to get to the end of the year.

After holding a public hearing, Tuesday, Oct. 27, the village board approved an ordinance amendment related to permits to keep chickens in the village.

The village’s Community Development Authority voted Tuesday, Oct. 6, in favor of selling up to 89,516 square feet on two parcels its owns along Mike McCarthy Way to Merge Urban Development for $1.

The school board heard from a group of parents unhappy with the district’s choice for an all-virtual learning program in grades 6-12 known as Edgenuity.
