When and how did you start making art?
I have enjoyed many forms of art since high school, and worked in many mediums such as jewelry, wood, metal, watercolor and most recently in acrylic pouring painting. Painting by the method of pouring acrylic paint on canvas to form an abstract painting using no brushes. The effect is using the right colors and manipulating the flow of the paint to blend and take on some form of beauty. Abstracts do not have to be objects in the painting as the flow of the colors are blended to give different aesthetics to the eyes pleasure.
What inspires your work?
My inspirations come from many forms in nature, landscapes, flowers and galaxy photos from NASA. The excitement with pouring acrylic painting is the fact that no two paintings are alike and you can never recreate the same results. Each painting is one of a kind.
How would you describe Green Bay/NE Wisconsin’s arts community?
North East Wisconsin has a very active art community with many mediums to choose from.
What is the best advice you have for other artists?
Like anything practice makes everything better. Remember, “Artwork does not have to match your sofa.”
