Katherine Coates, who goes by Kat, moved from Madison to Milwaukee, and then to Green Bay, with her fiancé Jeff in November.
Coates said they are expecting their first child, a baby girl, in late August, and bought a home in Green Bay, where Jeff was born and raised, because the community is safe and friendly.
“Transitioning from Madison and Milwaukee to Green Bay has just been wonderful,” she said. “It’s so nice and quiet here, and everybody’s really friendly, and you just feel safe. The neighborhood we moved into has a ton of trees and is really family-friendly, so I’m loving it.”
Getting engaged on Mother’s Day and expecting their first child later this summer, Coates said it’s been a very busy year for them.
As an amateur photographer, she said the area parks have provided her the opportunity to take some beautiful pictures of the local flora and fauna.
