newARTSpace will hold its book club at 6 p.m. April 14.

The book club will introduce two new releases on Thursday – Holidays Unfolding: The Continuing Adventures of Rabbit and Kitty Boy by artist Kristy Deetz and author Ed Risden; and In Plain Sight by David Graham – published under Italian company EyeShot.

Copies will be available for purchase.

The NEW/ART II will also be able to view from 5-9 p.m.

The event is free and open to the public.

Nobody Does This

Weidner Center, Green Bay

Sebastian Maniscalco is making a stop at the Weidner Center to present his Nobody Does This tour at 7 p.m. April 16.

An American comedian and actor, Maniscalco has performed at sold-out shows at The Forum in Los Angeles, Madison Square Garden in New York and more. He also worked alongside Robert DeNiro in The Irishman, and has had five comedy specials of his own.

Maniscalco’s comedic presence on stage is animated and goes beyond just telling a joke.

Tickets start at $64.

Paddygrass

Cup O’ Joy, Green Bay

Paddygrass is coming to Cup O’ Joy at 7:30 p.m April 16 for some celtic, bluegrass, gospel and shanties.

The Milwaukee-based band, which has been performing for more than 13 years, is made up of 11 members, but tends to play in trios or quartets.

Its music ranges from upbeat songs to ballads.

The concert is open to the public with no cover charge.

Early bird admission is $6 and reserved seating is $25.

Fun with Flowers and Planting

The Flour Pot, De Pere

Though The Flour Pot specializes in baking “flour”, its Fun with Flowers and Planting workshop at 1:30 p.m. April 19 will focus on the “flowers” that come from the ground.

Homeschool students are invited to join Gina Guth and her daughter, Steph Yousef, at The Flour Pot to learn the basics and beginnings of planting seeds and caring for them as they grow.

Students will also learn how to create floral arrangements, a skillset Guth said she also shares alongside her baking.

The workshop will include a clay pot for each student to decorate and take home.

Tickets are $25.

Oldies but Goodies

Ashwaubenon Performing Arts Center, Ashwaubenon

The Allouez Village Community Band (AVB) will perform at the Ashwaubenon PAC at 7 p.m. April 19 for its “Oldies but Goodies” performance.

The band will perform some of its favorite pieces as a celebration for its 40th anniversary season.

The concert will offer a variety of music from over the last 50 years, with songs such as “American Overture” by Joseph Willcox Jenkins, “The Magnificent Seven” by Elmer Bernstein and “Fanfare for the Common Man” by Aaron Copeland.

The AVB Community Band concert is free and open to the public.
