N.E.W. Master Garden will host a lecture on native plants at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay’s (UWGB) STEM Center at 9:30 a.m. April 2.

Justin Kroenig, owner of Stone Silo Prairie Gardens, will speak about Wisconsin’s native plants, how they are great pollinators, major food sources for wildlife, how they can benefit home landscaping and more.

It costs $10 to attend the lecture.

Choral Masterworks

Tuesday, April 5

Weidner Center, Green Bay

St. Norbert’s Dudley Birder Chorale will perform at the Weidner Center for Performing Arts at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 5.

The chorale, led by Kent Paulsen, will be joined by choirs from De Pere High School, Little Chute High School, Sturgeon Bay High School and Xavier High School, adding more than 100 extra voices to the group, as well as a full orchestra.

The concert will include songs from Mozart, Handel, Beethoven and more.

The 2022 Robert and Carol Bush Vocal Music Award winner will also perform their winning piece.

Tickets start at $13.50.

‘Before I Forget,’ Slipknot is coming to the Resch

Resch Center, Green Bay

Slipknot will make a stop at the Resch Center for its Knotfest Roadshow tour at 6:30 p.m. April 6.

The heavy metal rock band, which started in 1995 out of Des Moines, Iowa, has had many lineup changes over the years. Its current members are Shawn Crahan, Craig Jones, Mick Thomson, Corey Taylor, Sid Wilson, Jim Root, Alessandro Venturella, Jay Weinberg and Michael Pfaff.

Slipknot has released six studio albums and two live albums, the most recent being We Are Not Your Kind, which was released in 2019.

Tickets for the concert start at $50.

Eli Young Band

EPIC Event Center, Ashwaubenon

Eli Young Band will perform at the EPIC Event Center at 7:30 p.m. April 7.

The four-piece country music band was started in college in 2000 by Mike Eli and James Young, who were later joined by Jon Jones and Chris Thompson.

Since, the four members have performed with big-time country artists, such as Rascal Flatts, Jason Aldean and Toby Keith.

The band has released six studio albums, and is known for its songs such as “Crazy Girl” and “Drunk Last Night.”

Tickets start at $25.

Sunday Funday

Sunday, April 3

Zambaldi Beer, Green Bay

Parents and their kiddos are invited to Zambaldi Beer at noon April 3 for an afternoon of fun and relaxation for everyone.

Zambaldi’s Sunday Funday will include a free balloon artist from 2-4 p.m. There will be crafts, soda flights and other activities for the kids while their parents enjoy a beer or two.

The fun festivities last until 6 p.m.

There is no cover charge.

Godspell Jr.

Broadway Theatre, De Pere

Birder on Broadway’s high school students will perform Godspell Jr. beginning April 7 at Broadway Theatre.

Godspell, a musical originally composed by Stephen Schwartz and written by playwright John-Michael Tebelak, is based on the Gospel of Saint Matthew in the Bible.

The musical takes theatrical traditions like pantomime, charades, vaudeville and more to tell the story and reflection of the life of Jesus, with underlying themes of love and kindness.

The first show starts at 7 p.m.

Tickets start at $14.
