A word about the Packers

Dear Reader,

Watching the Packers play this year has been special – a real joy.

They are playing the game at a level not often seen anywhere, and this has given them the top seed in the NFC.

But we all know what result we want to see happen on Sunday, Feb. 7, at Super Bowl LV.

On a more fundamental level that’s not captured by statistics and new records set, the Packers exhibit the character and core values that resonate deeply with their fan base.

They, like all of the rest of us in Green Bay and the state of Wisconsin, are hard working and resilient.

They, like all of us here, have true grit.

You can see this in the admirable way they bounced back after their very few defeats this season.

Their example calls on us to continue to believe in ourselves and our contributions to our community.

We too shall bounce back after this difficult year and renew our ascent to the heights.
