We want to hear from you with reader survey

By Ben Rodgers
Editor

For the first time ever, The Press Times is asking you, our readers, to give us input so we can keep striving toward continuous improvement.

Our reader survey can be found at gopresstimes.com under the reader survey tab on the top of the page.

It will also be included in the Dec. 4 issue, as well as the Dec. 11, issue for those who prefer to mail it in.

There have been various changes since Multi Media Channels purchased The Ashwaubenon Press in 2017.

We have added staff, expanded into Green Bay, De Pere, Bellevue, Allouez and Seymour, and added features like Chef Andy’s recipes, an opinion page, a sports column and the occasional investigative news story.

It was our intent for these changes to make the paper more enjoyable and informative for all readers.

I will be the first to admit that without you, our readers, what we do here at The Press Times would be meaningless.

This newspaper exists to highlight the Greater Green Bay community, and without you, there is no community. Your voice matters.

By taking 5 minutes and completing the reader survey, you can tell us what we are doing right, what we are doing wrong and what you would like to see changed.

Your opinions could very well influence the decisions we make in what we cover and how we cover it.

With the internet churning out news (the accuracy of which can be debated), and a global pandemic raging, there has never been a greater test for newspapers.

During these trying moments, we as a publication felt this was the best time to gauge your opinions on what we could be doing better.

In my very first column in this newspaper, I wrote how newspapers are living, breathing things.

To be successful, newspapers need to evolve to meet the needs and wants of those who take the time to read them.

We have evolved much in the short time I have been at the helm of this publication, but by no means are we done.

As corporate buyouts and slashed reporting staffs at the largest newspaper chains rock the industry, resulting in thinner issues across the country, Multi Media Channels and The Press Times remain committed to reporting on local news.

The last thing we want to do is to fill our pages with news happening in Milwaukee, Madison or Washington D.C.

Instead, we feel now is the time to double down and invest in our publication and our community.

There is so much happening in the Greater Green Bay area, so many stories left to be told, and many lives left to be impacted.

Now you can have a say in how we do that.

Thank you for your continued patronage of The Press Times. We look forward to hearing from you.
