The possibilities of impossibilities

Dear Reader,

Upon reflection of the past, who would have ever entertained the idea that we could transport our voices and images remotely throughout the world and now throughout the universe as we know it?

When thinking ahead to the future, one might envision people being able to teleport or project their entire selves to another place and even perhaps another time.

Afterall, the technology and human innovations of today were the sci-fi fantasies of societies living centuries ago.

In ruminating about the future, inventions and discoveries that seem impossible now may not be entirely out of reach.

Perhaps even H. G. Wells’ book “The Time Machine” will not forever reside within the realm of fiction.

The world is filled with limitless potential.

Although the reality of the future remains the fiction of today, the possibilities are endless. And, for now, while we have yet to find a time machine to travel into the future to see what lies ahead, in the words of H.G. Wells, “We all have our time machines…those that take us back are memories…and those that carry us forward, are dreams.”

Ultimately, the time machine of the mind holds the richness of memories and the hopes of dreams.

While there is no way of knowing what lies ahead, beauty lies in the mystery of it all.

The not knowing is where adventure lives and enables the imagination to flourish.
