West De Pere students are National Merit semifinalists

West De Pere’s Roopeksha Agrawal, daughter of Dinesh and Trapti Agrawal; Elizabeth Gerrits, daughter of Mark and Suzanne Gerrits; Brandon Reed, son of Robert and Janice Reed; and David Whipp, son of Lee and Angela Whipp have all obtained semifinalist status in the 2025 National Merit Scholarship Program competition. They achieved this by demonstrating strong academic abilities on the PSAT test last school year and share this honor with only 16,000 other students nationwide. They will now have the opportunity to compete for finalist status before final consideration to earn one of the 6,870 National Merit Scholarships totaling nearly $26 million offered next spring. This is an achievement that only 1.25% of the top test takers in the nation achieve.
