Vander Bloomen steps down as De Pere Area Chamber of Commerce president/CEO

Posted

DE PERE – De Pere Area Chamber of Commerce President and CEO David Vander Bloomen has announced he will step away from the role after two and a half years.

“We are incredibly grateful for the time, energy, relationships, and passion David has brought to the Chamber and our business community,” the De Pere Area Chamber of Commerce shared in a Facebook post. “During his time here, we’ve celebrated successes, introduced new programs, strengthened partnerships and continued building connections throughout our community.”

“While this decision was not made lightly, I am excited about the opportunities that lie ahead and am incredibly grateful for the privilege of serving our Chamber, its members and the greater De Pere business community over the past two and a half years…” Vander Bloomen shared in a letter to Chamber members. “When I stepped into this role in April of 2024, I knew there was tremendous opportunity ahead. What I didn’t fully appreciate at the time was just how many wonderful relationships I would develop along the way. From small business owners chasing their dreams to established companies investing in our community, I’ve had the privilege of meeting, working alongside and learning from some truly remarkable people.”

Although his time serving as president and CEO of the Chamber will end Oct. 30, Vander Bloomen said his community involvement will continue and encouraged others to get involved, too.

“I’m already a member under one of the businesses I own, and I look forward to remaining active in our community, supporting local businesses and crossing paths with many of you in the years ahead…” Vander Bloomen said. “As I prepare to step away from this position and pursue new opportunities, I do so with tremendous appreciation for the trust, encouragement and support so many of you have shown me. Whether you’ve attended an event, volunteered your time, sponsored a program, offered advice or simply picked up the phone to have a conversation, you’ve made a difference. I also want to encourage you to continue supporting this Chamber. Organizations like ours play an important role in the health and vitality of our business community, but they cannot succeed without engaged members who believe in their mission. The Chamber’s future will be shaped by those who continue to show up, get involved, and invest in one another.”
