Revelry music venue to open in August 2026

GREEN BAY– Green Bay’s live music scene will soon further grow as Revelry music venue moves into 227 E. Walnut Street.

Set to open in August 2026, General Manager Tom Johnson comments on the experience of remodeling the building into a music venue.

“The building itself is on the National Register of Historic Places. It’s an old art deco building that pops out in things like the upstairs, which have a lot of gothic arches and great acoustics. We tried to embrace that spirit in how we decorated the downstairs as well. It’s full of different flyers and ticket stubs that bring out the history of the Green Bay’s music scene,” he said.

As Green Bay’s only mid-size venue, the building aims to serve multiple functions within its space.

The first floor will become a bar and an everyday hangout spot for music lovers, while the second floor will serve as a 425-cap music venue and flex space to host events like weddings, private gatherings and more.

“We really want it to be a comfortable hangout spot for live music and for people to hang out in. It’s a venue I’ve wanted for a while and it didn’t exist, so we had to go and make it happen,” Johnson said.

With the renovations nearly complete, Johnson is confident that Revelry will soon be up and running.

“We still have to put an elevator and new stairwell in, but other than that it’s just finishing cleaning up and making it look nice. It’s going to be a great place to play,” he said.

Johnson also hopes that Revelry becomes a future spotlight to showcase a wide variety of music within Green Bay.

“We’re working on all sorts of stuff. I’m currently working on booking the calendar and we’re still confirming a number of shows, but you’re gonna see anything from punk rock to bluegrass to indie rock to hip hop, etc.,” he said.

“There’s stuff booked that hasn’t been announced yet. Off With Their Heads will be doing a Halloween weekend show. Other bands likeShark Attack, Overtime, and a Foreigner tribute called Feels like the First Time will also be playing here soon. The Supersuckers will be coming for the grand weekend,” Johnson added.
Revelry is slated to open on Aug. 1, 2026, with a Grand Opening celebration scheduled for Aug. 28 and 29.
