Mulva Cultural Center is pleased to officially welcome Café Meridian, a new venture from Gina Guth and Stephanie Jamieson from The Flour Pot, LLC, as its new café operator.

Guth and her team have spent the past several weeks serving guests at Mulva Cultural Center, and Café Meridian now officially makes Mulva Cultural Center its new culinary home.

Café Meridian brings together a love of heritage cooking with a focus on food, culture and wellness. Guth’s culinary roots reach back to her childhood, when she learned alongside her mother, Jean, who made hundreds of Belgian pies for community festivals and shared recipes rooted in the family’s Belgian and German heritage.

That passion eventually led Guth to establish The Flour Pot, LLC, which has grown into a De Pere destination for hands-on culinary experiences and heritage baking.

Guth is joined by her daughter, Stephanie Jamieson, a culinary anthropologist and food educator whose work explores the relationship between food, culture and health. Jamieson’s interests include traditional foodways, Blue Zone communities, plant-based nutrition and the role food can play in supporting longevity and wellness.

Together with their team, Guth and Jamieson are bringing those influences to Café Meridian through fresh, thoughtfully prepared foods with an emphasis on whole foods and healthy choices, alongside the heritage baking traditions The Flour Pot, LLC is known for.

Guests can expect a rotating selection of salads, wraps, savory entrées and baked goods, along with heritage-inspired favorites such as Belgian pie, kolache, kringle and more.

“We’re excited to officially welcome Gina, Stephanie and the entire Café Meridian team to Mulva Cultural Center,” said Marv Wall, executive director of Mulva Cultural Center. “Café Meridian brings another welcoming experience to our building and gives our community a new reason to gather here, whether they are exploring our exhibitions and programs or simply stopping in to enjoy a meal together.”
