Mini Boss season kicks off at Farmers’ Market on Broadway Program spotlights the next generation of entrepreneurs

Posted

The next season of Mini Boss on Broadway presented by Capital Credit Union kicked off this Wednesday, June 17 during the Farmers’ Market on Broadway.

This year’s Mini Boss program will be eight weeks in length, ending on August 5. The program offers the opportunity for children 15 years old and younger to try their hand as an entrepreneur, running their small business at one of Wisconsin’s largest farmers’ markets.
Each week, up to eight Mini Boss’s will sell their homemade products and promote their business to thousands of market visitors.

“The first week of this program always brings a fresh level of excitement to our weekly market,” said Mary Rhode, vice president of marketing and communications with On Broadway, Inc. With the support of our sponsor, Capital Credit Union, we’re grateful to offer area kids the chance to live out their entrepreneurial dream and we hope market visitors shop and support this next generation of business owners.”

Mini Boss vendors can be found near the market center square, in ‘Red Sculpture Park’.
As part of the program, On Broadway will welcome back Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northeast Wisconsin as a partner this year, where during the July 15 market, Bigs and their Littles will be taking up Mini Boss booth spaces and teaming up to promote their individual business ventures.
