On Saturday, Oct. 4, the Art Garage opened Nothing Gold Can Stay — the gallery’s second annual botanical show featuring a vast collection of more than 40 pieces using varying mediums.
After countless hours of commitment, creation, planning and setup, the show is now open and will be on display until Oct. 25, showcasing the partnership between the Green Bay Botanical Garden and the Art Garage.
“We want to provide, and shine a light on, free opportunities for artists in the community,” said Lindsay Olson, executive director of the Art Garage.
Artists throughout the area have had an opportunity this summer to bring their materials to the Green Bay Botanical Garden and experience plein air through their creative process within beautiful surroundings.
Nothing Gold Can Stay is one of several exhibits The Art Garage has hosted in partnership with local nonprofits.
“If nonprofits in the area are supporting each other and sharing each other’s information, it’s an endless circle of giving and representation,” said Olson.
With over 30 artists showcasing their work in this exhibit, viewers will enjoy presentations of fiber arts, photography, sculpture, paintings, prints and a variety of other media.
With hopes of offering a glimpse into the beauty of the natural world, this exhibit is open to the public for free, with donations appreciated at the Art Garage, located at 1400 Cedar St., during gallery hours.
Select pieces in the exhibit are available for purchase.
