A festival for craft beer creators and enjoyers

Pour Another Round’s Outdoor Winter Beer Fest returns for fourth year

Posted

Beer will soon flow like wine as the Pour Another Round Podcast prepares to host their fourth annual Outdoor Winter Beer Fest.

Established in 2021, the Pour Another Round Podcast began with one simple intention: to share the story behind your favorite beer.

Like all good storytellers, these experiences grew beyond stories and morphed into its own community.

Podcast co-founder Jonathan Eckelberg comments on how the event came into fruition.

“The reason for the beer fest is because we share all these stories behind every beer. 160 episodes later and we’ve had this stockpile of breweries and distilleries on the show. Now they have the chance to get these stories in person,” he said.

The festival will feature craft beers from 20 different breweries from across Wisconsin and five other states.

Growing in attendees every year, the festival’s premise remains the same.
“Other beer festivals typically have many people who just want to pound beers which can get a little messy. We’ve orchestrated this for craft beer enjoyers. It’s a more casual atmosphere where people can talk with each other and interact with craft beer creators.” he said.

While this year’s festival remains outdoors and in Green Bay, the Outdoor Winter Beer Fest moves its home from Badger State Brewery to Hinterland Brewery, just next door to Lambeau Field.

Eckelbers shared one of his favorite highlights from past Beer Fests.

“We’ve had a couple who’ve been to all the festivals and they always bring their own tailgating setup. Lawn chairs, flannels, the charcuterie board and all! Last year we had another group show up with a bunch of food necklaces, full of pretzels and fruit snacks. It’s really cool to see all these groups of people that make it their own,” he added.

With the festival’s ever growing list of breweries, Eckelberg hopes it serves as a bridge for smaller breweries that are still waiting to be discovered.

“We do our best to get the breweries that people have never had the chance to try. You’ll have the big breweries like Lakefront in Milwaukee but there’s also these smaller breweries that don’t quite have the distribution yet,” he said.

In addition to the endless storytellers and craft beers, Hinterland Brewery will also be serving food on-site alongside other vendors.

Eckelberg welcomes all who are interested to take a look at the festival.

“We’re not a festival just for people to get drunk, we want them to join the craft beer community. Have conversations, ask questions and see the stories behind all these different beers. It’s everything we do on the podcast and it’s truly amazing to share that in person,” he said.

Pour Another Round’s Outdoor Winter Beer Festival will be held at Hinterland Brewery on March 21, from 1-4 p.m.

Tickets are $40 in advance and $50 the day of the event.

“We’re not a festival just for people to get drunk, we want them to join the craft beer community. Have conversations, ask questions and see the stories behind all these different beers. It’s everything we do on the podcast and it’s truly amazing to share that in person,” Eckelberg added.
