Ashwaubenon school board reorganizes after elections

ASHWAUBENON – After two Ashwaubenon school board members – Paul Trondson and Michelle Garrigan – were re-elected by district voters earlier this month without opposition, the board held its election of officers Wednesday, April 10.

Upon Trondson and Garrigan being sworn in, board members unanimously re-elected Jay Van Laanen as president, Brian Van De Kreeke as vice president, Jennifer Vyskocil as clerk and Garrigan as treasurer.

Board members also set this year’s annual meeting/budget hearing for 6 p.m. July 10 in the district office and agreed to keep the monthly board meetings on the second Wednesday of the month at 6:30 p.m., except for two dates.

The October 2019 board meeting will be held Oct. 23, because the tax levy certification information will not be available by the second Wednesday of the month, and the March 2020 meeting will be held on March 18 because the Taste of Ashwaubenon is scheduled for March 11.
