I started playing soccer at the age of four.

How has balancing academics and athletics been different for you from your freshman year to your senior year?

Balancing academics and athletics has always been a focus of mine starting from freshman year all the way up to my senior year. School is a very important part of my life and I have challenged myself with advanced, AP, and dual enrollment courses throughout my four years at Pulaski. It definitely took a lot of dedication to learn how to be successful in both school and sports while keeping myself physically and mentally healthy. During my freshman and sophomore years, I was figuring out how to learn in class and study to best benefit me. Participating in both basketball and soccer has made me find the balance that works best for me. Developing strong skills while I was a freshman and sophomore has made the transition to the more difficult years of high school much easier on me. Now I will be able to utilize all of these skills in my future to ensure I am successful in college and beyond.

What moment has impacted you the most in your high school career?

One opportunity that has impacted me the most was the GLASS program. I was nominated for the Girls Leadership Academy for Service and Sports by my soccer coach my junior year. This program brings high school aged girls from around the country to Costa Rica for ten days. During this time we have daily leadership workshops, service activities, sports performance training, excursions, and time for connecting with the other girls and mentors. During this time I was able to help different communities through the service opportunities and grow as a leader during the leadership workshops. This was a life changing opportunity for me and I couldn’t be more happy that I went.

How does it feel as a senior, to look back throughout high school and see your growth (as a person and athlete)?

Looking back at my high school years, I feel very accomplished to have made an impact on the school and the teams I have been on. I have seen my maturity and personality grow in such a positive way and that is due to all the activities I was a part of in high school.

Any memorable coaches or teammates you’d like to give a shout out to?

Both of my high school coaches, Coach McElrone and Coach Logue, have inspired me to become the best version of myself and I am so appreciative of them. I would also like to give a shoutout to my senior year basketball team who I have had the most fun season with.

What are your other hobbies outside of sports and school?

Outside of school, I really enjoy spending time outside in the summer boating, waterskiing, and camping.

Favorite restaurant?

My favorite restaurant is In-N-Out Burger.

Future plans? (college, sport, major, career, etc)

I plan to attend a four year college to major in biology with a pre-physician assistant focus. After I earn my undergraduate degree I will attend graduate school to earn a masters degree in physician assistant studies.
