How has balancing academics and athletics been different for you from your freshman year to your senior year?

As a freshman and even sophomore, I didn’t really have any homework, but as a junior and now senior, it gets tough at times trying to maintain good grades and be an athlete.

How does it feel being a senior, looking back at how far you’ve made it through three sports?

It is really bittersweet for me. I’m proud of how much I’ve grown throughout my time, but I’m sad to have it come to an end.

Which sport is your favorite?

I really enjoy playing golf, which is crazy to say the least. I just started playing my freshman year, but have grown a very strong passion for the game.

What is a specific activity or drill in practice that you enjoy doing?

My favorite activity in practice is 3-on-2 and 2-on-1.

Is there a professional or collegiate athlete you try to mimic?

There are a lot of athletes I look up to. A few of them are Sabrina Ionescu, Caitlin Clark, and Paige Bueckers. They all have so much passion and will to compete.

What is the hardest part about balancing three sports?

The hardest part of balancing all three sports is still making time for other important things like school, family, friends and work.

How have each of your sports complimented each other for your athletic development?

I think just the overall determination and want to compete is prevalent in each of my sports.

What is your ultimate pregame meal?

I usually don’t eat a whole lot before games but if I do, I have a smoothie and a protein bar.

Favorite collegiate or professional sports team?

I will always be the biggest Milwaukee Bucks fan!!

What is your favorite song on your warm-up playlist right now?

“Downtown” by Macklemore has always been my favorite.

Do you enjoy weight training or conditioning more?

I would rather weight train.

Any memorable coaches or teammates that you would like to give a shout out to?

I would like to give a big thanks to Coach Herrala for pushing me and allowing me to grow as a player and person. Coach Havlo for showing me how much fun the game can be. I would also like to thank my athletic trainer Kassie (Big K) for helping me during my ACL tear.

What are your plans for the future (college/major/career)?

I am committed to attending UW-La Crosse and plan to major in physical education on the pre-physical therapy track.

Any advice you would give to the younger generation of athletes?

I would encourage younger athletes to stay in the moment and enjoy them all! It will be over before you know it.
