How did you first get introduced to soccer?

I am the youngest of five kids and we all played soccer growing up. I was introduced to soccer by my dad, and I played for Allouez Stampede. Shout out to Coach Abdul Nur!

What other sports do you play? Which is your favorite and why?

I play soccer, hockey and tennis during the school year. Last year, I was fortunate to go to state in all three sports. I love them all, but soccer is my favorite because I love the culture of the program.

How has balancing academics and athletics been different for you from your freshman year to your senior year?

Freshman year was a little more difficult at balancing academics and sports, but luckily, my older siblings helped me with my time management. Now, it is second nature.

What are you most excited about seeing from your team as you advance this season?

I am excited about winning the conference for the first time in 11 years and securing the #1 seed in our section for playoffs. I look forward to my team’s ability to come together under challenging games moving forward in the playoffs.

What would you say is the most challenging aspect of soccer?

Soccer is a game where the best team does not always win. Sometimes, you can play really good and lose. Games can come down to a couple of lucky bounces that decide the outcome.

What professional soccer player do you admire most and why?

My favorite player is Ronaldo because he outworks everybody.  That is who I try to model my game after, so I wear #7.

What has been your most memorable experience in high school sports so far?

My sophomore year, I had the only goal against Seymour to send our team to state.

Do you have any pre-game rituals or superstitions?

I love to sing the National Anthem because it helps me relax and prepare for the game. I also don’t put my shin guards on until right before game time.

Any favorite mantra, bible verse, or words of advice from someone that help you get through games?

‘The journey is the reward’ is our team mantra for the year.

Any hobbies outside of sports?

I enjoy hanging out with my family and friends.

Favorite movie?

My favorite movie is Interstellar.

Sports drinks like Gatorade or Powerade, or just water?

I like water and McDonald’s Hi-C after wins.

What are your plans for the future?

I plan on attending college and majoring in accounting or finance.
