Parents’ names: Rebecca and Donald Nichols
Who first introduced you to football?
My grandpa watched a lot of NFL games, so I got into it from that.
Have you ever played any other sports?
I’ve played basketball, lacrosse, track, baseball and soccer.
How has balancing academics and athletics been different for you from your freshman year to your senior year?
I’ve never had a rough time balancing school and sports except when we played late games.
What about football has made you stick with it for so long ?
I love how the sport lets you be so physical and it’s unlike all the other sports I’ve played.
What professional football player do you admire most?
I admire Donald Driver the most because of how kind and talented he was.
What has been your most memorable experience in high school sports so far?
I don’t have any super memorable moments. I’ve enjoyed every play and every part of the sports I’ve been blessed to play.
What has been the biggest game of your career so far?
The biggest game was this year’s first game against Belmont because they got second in state last year and we were 0-18 so winning that set the tone for this season and for my final drive as a senior.
Do you prefer to play a game in the heat or cold?
I prefer to play in the heat. It helps me stay loose and I don’t like being super cold.
Any hobbies outside of football?
I love to hunt when I’m free from football.
One of my favorite songs is ‘Shotta Flow.’
Favorite pre-game snack?
I don’t really eat before games.
What are your plans for the future?
I’m still thinking but I definitely want to play at the next level and am committed to making that happen.
