GREEN BAY – Greater Green Bay Chamber Vice President of Talent & Education Eric Vanden Heuvel was recently elected to serve on the board of directors for the Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives (ACCE).

ACCE is an association of more than 9,000 professionals representing 1,600 chambers of commerce throughout the country.

The organization identifies trends affecting communities, shares best practices and develops benchmarking studies.

“This is a well-deserved honor for Eric, and it reflects not only his individual merit, but also shines as a testament to the excellence of our Chamber,” said Laurie Radke, president & CEO of the Greater Green Bay Chamber. “Eric’s role in representing Greater Green Bay will be exceptional and will ensure our presence and influence in important discussions. His innovation and quest for fresh ideas to advance our community’s potential make him an ideal choice. By joining the board, he gains the platform to exchange best practices while drawing inspiration from others regarding innovative and strategic ways to foster growth and support our thriving community.”

“In his role with the Greater Green Bay Chamber, Vanden Heuvel is responsible for the creation and implementation of community strategies aimed at the attraction, retention and development of people within the region,” a chamber release stated.

Vanden Heuvel is a Green Bay native and a 2007 UW-Green Bay graduate.

“Vanden Heuvel is passionate about driving growth in northeastern Wisconsin,” the release added. “After earning his master’s degree in educational leadership from Concordia University (2010), he worked as a teacher and principal, as well as the chief operating officer for the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Green Bay. In addition to his role at the chamber, Vanden Heuvel also serves as the vice president of the Green Bay Education Foundation and the East Shore Drive Neighborhood Association, is a board member for Achieve Brown County and also the Center for Civic Engagement at UW-Green Bay. Vanden Heuvel has also held the position as President of the Green Bay Area Public School District Board of Education.”

“Being selected to join the ACCE Board is both an honor and a remarkable opportunity,” said Vanden Heuvel. “It’s a privilege to contribute to an organization that plays a pivotal role in fostering economic growth, facilitating collaboration and empowering businesses within our communities. It is my hope that we can collaborate to pave the way for vibrant local economies, forge valuable connections and drive positive change that resonates far beyond boardroom discussions.”
