Avalanche Rescue Skills

Interactive class focusing on avalanche accidents, how to prevent getting caught, different types of avalanches, reading avalanche forecasts, advanced avalanche rescue techniques, terrain analysis, route finding, snowpack analysis and transceiver use.

The class will be led by Mike Duffy, who has more than 22 years of experience in avalanche education.
Instruction begins at 6 p.m.

Registration is $40 and includes dinner.

The Nutcracker

Dance performance based on the story by E.T.A. Hoffman, with songs from Tchaikovsky’s Nutcracker Suite, including “The Waltz of the Flowers” and “Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy.”

44th annual holiday show performed by The Dance Company.

The performances will feature dancers from Milwaukee Ballet.

The show begins at 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 25 and Saturday, Nov. 26, with additional shows at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 26 and Sunday, Nov. 27.
