BROWN COUNTY – The Brown County Golf Course (BCGC) will host the Brown County Amateur Aug. 12-14 for three days of competition.

BCGC was significantly remodeled in late 2021, including a completely new sand trap complex, modifications to three greens, improved irrigation and drainage and plenty of pruning.

Sponsors of this year’s event include Hinterland, Melotte Distribution, Nicolet Bank, Next Gen Indoor Golf, The Long Drive and Jimmy O’s Golf Shop.

The field is limited to the first 150 who sign up and pay the $90 entry fee.

The entry fee is nearly offset by the player perk package, which includes a $25 Hinterland Gift Card, a $25 voucher at NextGen for 1 hour of Trackman-based indoor golf, a $20 voucher for Jimmy O’s Golf Shop and a free beverage each day of the event.

Participants will also compete for more than $10,000 of merchandise awards, cases of meat from Melotte’s (going to the daily low and high scorer in each flight), along with an optional skins game enhanced by $2,000, courtesy of Nicolet Bank.
