FRCC boys’ basketball honor squads released

BROWN COUNTY – The Fox River Classic Conference (FRCC) recently released the boys’ basketball honor squads.

Locally, Ashwaubenon, Bay Port, De Pere, Green Bay Preble, Green Bay Southwest, Notre Dame Academy and Pulaski compete in the FRCC.

De Pere won the conference with a 16-2 record, followed by Notre Dame (15-3), Ashwaubenon (14-4), Bay Port (11-7), Preble (6-12), Southwest (5-13) and Pulaski (2-16).

Ashwaubenon’s Marcus Tomashek was the Player of the Year, while Notre Dame’s Daniel Hornacek was the Defensive Player of the Year, and De Pere Head Coach Brian Winchester was the Coach of the Year.

First team

Tomashek, ASH; John Kinziger, DP; Chris Mitchell NDA; Will Hornseth, DP; Matt Imig, ASH; AJ Lieuwen, BP

Second team

Emmett Lawton, NDA; Jack Jorgensen, DP; Connor Pytleski, GBSW

Honorable mention

David Danforth, GBSW; Nate Forystek, BP; Hornacek, NDA; Keegan King, NDA; Thomas Michaels, PRE; Austin Renard, PRE; Derek Shaw, PUL; Vince Vandervest, BP
