Three St. Norbert men’s basketball players earn awards

Men's Basketball

DE PERE – The St. Norbert College men’s basketball team had two players named to the All-Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) Team and had a third earn an individual award.

Senior guard Jacob Bolwerk was named to the first team, while senior guard Michael Payant was selected to the second team.

Freshman guard Parker Lawrence, a Hortonville High School graduate, was named the NACC Freshman of the Year.

Bolwerk led the Green Knights in scoring at 13.3 points per game and also averaged 4.1 rebounds per game.

He shot 40.2% (39-for-97) from beyond the 3-point arc and 81.7% (58-for-71) from the free-throw line.

Payant averaged 11.8 points per game while grabbing a team-high 7.3 rebounds per game.

He also finished with a team-high 49 steals.

Lawrence averaged 9.7 points per game and was second on the team with 39 steals.

He finished with a team-high 43 3-point field goals made and shot 37.1% (43-for-116) from beyond the 3-point arc.

St. Norbert finished 16-10 overall and claimed a share of the NACC championship with an 11-6 record, its 10th conference title in the last 13 years.
