BROWN COUNTY – With the Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association postseason around the corner, several area wrestlers are state-ranked in their respective weight classes.
Ashwaubenon, Bay Port, De Pere, Green Bay Preble, Green Bay United (East, West, Southwest), Pulaski and West De Pere compete in Division 1, while Seymour competes in Division 2.
Regionals are Saturday, Feb. 12, while sectionals are Saturday, Feb. 19.
The top-four wrestlers from each weight class in regionals advance to sectionals.
Only the top-two athletes from sectionals advance to the individual state tournament Thursday-Saturday, Feb. 24-26, at the Kohl Center in Madison.
Division 1
106: Mycah Beckett, De Pere, No. 3; Owen Wathke, Bay Port, No. 8; Ashton Kapla, Pulaski, honorable mention.
113: Ethan Eggert, Pulaski, honorable mention.
126: Shane Corrigan, De Pere, No. 2.
138: Collin Hansen, De Pere, No. 8.
145: Jacob Ward, Bay Port, No. 2; Alek Ukkola, West De Pere, honorable mention.
182: Michael Alexander, De Pere, No. 2; Trent Gibbons, Pulaski, No. 4.
220: Mason Wells, Pulaski, No. 7.
285: Vaughn Campbell, Bay Port, No. 7; Troy Dietzler, Ashwaubenon, No. 10.
