This week, Midwest author Lori Rader-Day hits the small screen alongside plenty of Christmas events

Yes, Virginia, There is a Santa Claus
Thursday, Dec. 16
St. Norbert College Webb Theater
Evergreen Productions performs “Yes, Virginia, There is a Santa Claus” at St. Norbert College Webb Theater (315 3rd St) Dec. 16 to 19.
“Yes, Virginia, There is a Santa Claus” is a play revolving around a letter written by an eight-year-old girl named Virginia from over 100 years ago, where she asked those at the New York Sun if there was such a thing as Santa Claus. New York Sun reporter Frank Church is tasked with the responsibility of responding to Virginia.
The most famous line from his editorial became, “Yes, Virginia, There is a Santa Claus,” which has now been made into movies, books and plays like the one by Evergreen Productions.
The show starts at 7 pm on Dec. 16 and 17, with a 2 pm showing on Dec. 19. Tickets are $18.
UntitledTown Presents Author Lori Rader-Day

UntitledTown Book and Author Festival will be welcoming Lori Rader-Day to explore her recently released book “Death at Greenway.”
The novel, released in October, is a suspense novel that drops a host of World War II nurses into an Agatha Christie-Esque mystery. The novel was named a Library Reads pick and IndieNext pick and its audiobook won an AudioMagazine Earphones Award.
Rader-Day is the author of “The Lucky One,” “Under a Dark Sky,” “The Day I Died,” “Little Pretty Things” and “The Black Hour.” She studied creative writing at Roosevelt University in Chicago.
The virtual event is from 6:30-7:30 pm and is free for everyone.
A Fort Howard Christmas
Friday, Dec. 17
Heritage Hill State Park, Green Bay
Heritage Hill State Park (2640 S Webster Ave) premieres its first Fort Howard Christmas, a community event full of holiday festivities for families and those of all ages.
Heritage Hill is a nonprofit historical park that works to preserve buildings and artifacts in Northeast Wisconsin.
There will be a variety of activities to participate in, from taking a stroll through the lantern-lit park, sitting by the fire, listening to holiday tunes and interacting with historical reenactment performers.
Local bakery Cheesecake Heaven will be onsite providing food and drinks to purchase.
The holiday festivities start at 5 pm. Tickets start at $5.
Daddy D’s Christmas
Wednesday, Dec. 22
Ashwaubenon Performing Arts Center, Ashwaubenon
Daddy D Productions performs its 5th annual Christmas show. The family-friendly show takes the classic Christmas songs such as “Mary Did You Know,” “Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas” and “Silent Night” and adds their own comedy and skits to make it their own.
Daddy D productions started with a small group of friends who wanted to provide performances with clean humor.
The show hits the Ashwaubenon PAC (2391 S Ridge Rd) stage at 7:30 pm. Tickets start at $27.
Christmas Party: Punk Edition

Titletown Rooftop, Green Bay
The Green Bay punk rock community is back with their Punk Xmas Party after a short hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Paul Schroder (pictured left), Jim Runge and Karl Kirschling will be back on the rooftop of Titletown Brewery (320 N Broadway) belting out punk tunes for everyone to enjoy and celebrate bringing the Green Bay punk rock community together for some festive cheer.
The holiday punk rock jams kick off at 7 pm. The event is free and open to the public, ages 21 and up.
