Green Bay Booyah swept in state capital

MADISON – The Green Bay Booyah fell in Madison Tuesday night to the Mallards, 9-1, in Northwoods League action.

The game started after a rain delay of more than two and a half hours.

Green Bay fell behind 3-0 after the first inning.

The Booyah cut their deficit to two in the third inning when Spencer Weston (Western Oregon) hit an RBI double that scored Blake Salamon (Northwood).

The Mallards scored six unanswered runs to pull away for the victory.

Green Bay dropped to 12-21 in the second half of the season.

The Booyah return to Capital Credit Union Park in Ashwaubenon Wednesday, Aug. 11 for a 6:35 p.m. first pitch against the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters.
