Ashwaubenon has new boys’ swimming coach

ASHWAUBENON – Jason Martin is the new boys’ swimming coach at Ashwaubenon High School.

Martin coached at Sheboygan North High School from 1999-2016.

“I first want to thank (former head coach) Jim Merner,” said Activities Director/Associate Principal Nick Senger. “Jim was here five years and led our team in a great way. The young men who swam for him are better today because of the relationships he formed with them. I’m excited for Jason to take over. He’s a competitive swimmer himself and has a track record of teaching and molding young men at the high school level. This season will be different, but Jason is ready for the challenge.”

Since 2016, Martin has been an assistant at Bay Port High School.

“I’m looking forward to it,” said Martin. “I’ve been at the pool for a few weeks getting to know the team. I’m ready to get started.”
