As team president, Mitchell will oversee the day-to-day operations of the Gamblers and will continue to report to PMI Entertainment Group President Brendan Bruss.

The Gamblers are owned by PMI.

“Jeff has done a great job since coming to the Gamblers and has earned this opportunity,” said Bruss. “He’s well versed in all aspects of the hockey organization and has proven his leadership abilities. I’m excited to promote a capable and qualified individual who is already on our team.”

As director of business and promotions, Mitchell was responsible for the day-to-day business operations of the Gamblers.

Under his leadership, the Gamblers have consistently ranked near the top in league attendance, shown consistent growth in corporate sponsorships and introduced promotions that have gained national acclaim.

On the hockey side, Mitchell has served as a liaison to the hockey staff and assisted Bruss in the hiring of head coaches Jon Cooper, Eric Rud, Derek Lalonde and current head coach Pat Mikesch.

“I’ve been blessed to work with many quality people during my time with the Gamblers while having a front-row seat to watch the best in the world play and coach the sport I love,” said Mitchell. “I’m grateful to Brendan for his years of guidance in preparing me for this opportunity. I’m truly humbled.”

Mitchell grew up in White Bear Lake, Minnesota, and attended Northern Michigan University.

Before his time in Green Bay, Mitchell worked at the University of Minnesota-Duluth and Northwest Sports, which owned and operated hockey and baseball teams in Waterloo and Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and Topeka, Kansas.
