Notre Dame golfers advance to sectionals

WAUSAU – By finishing second as a team at the WIAA Division 1 regional Sept. 30 at the Greenwood Hills Country Club in Wausau, the Notre Dame Academy girls’ golf team advanced to sectionals Tuesday, Oct. 6, at Thornberry Creek at Oneida.

The Tritons’ 365 total was only two shots behind Hortonville at the par-72 course.

West De Pere also competed at the regional and placed sixth among the eight teams with its 448 total.

Grace Durkin (88 – fourth), Emma Wolf (89 – fifth), Emily Noble (90 – sixth), Lily Balison (98 – 10th) and Belle Mae Williams (104 – 15th) participated for Notre Dame.

For West De Pere, Brie Rosmiarek (109 – 22nd), Lydia Kohlbeck (112 – 24th), Ally Reis (112 – 24th), Morgan Degroot (115 – 30th) and Carli Green (118 – 32nd) participated.
