Booyah end season in Fond du Lac

FOND DU LAC – The Green Bay Booyah, making its first playoff appearance in five years, fell to Fond du Lac 9-4 on Friday, Aug. 21.

Green Bay ended the year with an 18-29 record.

The Booyah scored first when Nick Santoro scored on a wild pitch in the second inning.

Green Bay held a 4-3 lead going into the bottom of the seventh inning thanks to a strong performance by starting pitcher Jack Mahoney.

After retiring the first batter of the seventh, Mahoney gave up a bunt single to the last man he faced.

Coming on in relief, Jack Sauser was unable to retire a batter, and the Dock Spiders took the lead for good, plating four runs in the seventh.

Fond Du Lac scored two more in the bottom of the eighth to round out the scoring.
