Four seek two trustee seats in Bellevue

BROWN COUNTY – The village trustee seats generating the most competition locally this spring are in Bellevue, where two incumbents up for election to new two-year terms face two challengers.

Thomas Katers and John Sinkler are seeking re-election with Larry Hamsing and Karen Hauser running to get on the Bellevue village board.

All four candidates will appear on the general election ballot April 7 when the top two vote-getters will be elected.

There’s no competition for municipal judge in Bellevue with Ron Metzler unopposed this spring for a new four-year term.

Ashwaubenon

In the Village of Ashwaubenon, Trustee Chris Zirbel (Wards 5-6) is being challenged by Debbie Nelson. The other two incumbent trustees seeking new three-three terms, Allison Williams (Wards 1-2) and Gary Paul (Wards 3-4), are unopposed.

Allouez

In the Village of Allouez, Village Clerk Debbie Baenen said only incumbent trustees Jim Genrich, Christopher Sampson and Matthew Harris have been granted ballot status to run for the three trustee seats up for new three-year terms.

Hobart

In the Village of Hobart, trustees Edward Kazik and Debbie Schumacher are unopposed running for new two-year terms.

Village President Richard Heidel also faces no opposition in his bid for a new three-year term.

The multi-jurisdictional municipal judge for Hobart and the Town of Lawrence, Ron Van Lanen, is running unopposed for a new four-year term.

Suamico

In the Village of Suamico, trustees Steve Andrews and Jason Wards are unopposed running for new three-year terms.

Village President Laura Nelson is seeking another three-year term without opposition.
