You are the first senior spotlight for our paper this fall from Green Bay West.

“Thank you for the opportunity – it’s an honor.”

Tell me about your family.

“I have two younger sisters – one is 16 and the other is 12. My mom lives in Wausau, and I live with my dad in Green Bay.”

Is there one sport you wish you had done at West?

“Maybe basketball – I might even play on the team this winter.”

Your football career is coming to an end – reflect.

“It’s sad to see it go, but I’ve had good times and feel I left my mark.”

What was it like having John Saharsky as your football coach?

“He is a great coach and uses a lot of positivity. It was fun being on the field with him, and his energy is through the roof.”

You took part in the Quarterback Challenge at halftime of the Packers-Vikings game Sept. 15 at Lambeau Field – what was that like?

“It was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. I will look back at that moment my whole life. It was crazy to be in the middle of all those fans.”

The Green Bay West football has struggled for a few years – how hard has that been?

“It’s been tough – sometimes our players got down, but I was the one who was there for them. It might not have seemed like we tried, but we definitely put our hearts on the field and did our best. There were a lot of good times over the years – I will miss the camaraderie. I’ve seen improvement in the program over the years.”

What was it like playing against Green Bay East?

“Building up to the game, there was a lot more intensity in practice, and it was the game we wanted to perform well in. You see a different spark in the team playing against East.”

Do you have a most memorable sports moment?

“The last home game this year against Menasha – doing the senior walk for the last time was memorable. It was sad but full of memories.”

An embarrassing one?

“My freshman year in practice, I got my shorts pulled down on accident. My teammate went to tackle me and I did a spin move at the same time. It was in front of all my teammates.”

What is something about you most people don’t know?

“I played the flute until the eighth grade and was born in Wausau.”

What three words describe you?

“Confident, risk-taker, humble.”

What will you miss about Green Bay West?

“All my friends and the atmosphere there. A lot of people see Green Bay West as a bad place, but it’s not like that. I get all my positive vibes from being there and learned a lot.”
