Ashwaubenon extends contract with Fair Market Assessments

By Press Times Staff

ASHWAUBENON – The village has extended its contract for assessment services through 2024 with Fair Market Assessments.

The five-year extension approved Tuesday, Sept. 24, by the Ashwaubenon village board for the services provided by Mike and Paul Denor calls for a $1,000 annual increase in fees with the compensation going from $47,000 in 2020 to $51,000 in 2024.

Village Manager Allison Swanson said Mike and Paul Denor have an excellent relationship with property owners in Ashwaubenon, as well as village staff.

The agreement calls for Fair Market Assessments to appraise and assess all taxable, non-manufacturing property within the village by analyzing Wisconsin Department of Revenue assessments/sales ratio reports, by onsite appraisals of all new construction, remodeling, demolitions and additions, and by any other means deemed necessary to complete the assessment roll.

Fair Market Assessments will also be responsible for assessing all personal property annually by mailing the statement of personal property forms to all persons subject to assessment.

Liquor license transfer

The closed Rolz Sushi restaurant has given up its Class B Beer/Class B Liquor license in the village so that another restaurant will be able to use that license.

The board approved a license for the Union Restaurant doing business as Cozumel Mexican Grill at 940 Hansen Road, Suite B.

The Cozumel Mexican Grill will be located where the Rolz restaurant closed.
