Name: Christopher Williams

Number: 15

Position: Outfield

Hometown: Woodstock, Georgia

High school: River Ridge

College: Chipola College (Florida)

Christopher has appeared in 34 games and accounted for 21 hits on the season for the Booyah.

Earliest baseball memory: “When I was 8 and I played up on a 10 and under Little League team in Flower Mound, Texas. I hit a home run to win our national league tournament.”

Most memorable baseball moment: “Going to the final four my junior and senior season of the high school state championships in Georgia. We didn’t win the whole thing, but it was fun competing against great players and being around the guys. Also, hitting a two- and a three-run homer for the Booyah in one game recently.”

Strengths as a player: “Having the power to hit the ball deep in the outfield and have arm strength on defense.”

Future plans: “I got drafted by the Cincinnati Reds in the 15th round out of high school. Hopefully, I will get drafted again this next season and play in the majors someday.”

What’s it like living in Green Bay and playing in the new stadium: “I’m used to the heat, so it’s been nice to have a summer that I can enjoy. The people are great, and I think the stadium gives the fans a different viewpoint to watch a game from all sides of the field.”

Best advice someone has given you: “Baseball is a game of failure. Each game is a different game in itself. You are going to have many more lows than highs, but you have to stay positive and upbeat and continue to get better every time you hit or take to the outfield.”

Favorite MLB team: “Los Angeles Dodgers. California is my dream state to live in. The Dodgers are usually a pretty young team and always exciting to watch.”
