Howard community event and fireworks show tonight

HOWARD – The finishing touches have been put on the Village of Howard’s sixth annual Howard Community Event and Fireworks Show.

This year’s festival on June 28 promises to be the biggest and best to date.

Sponsored by Meijer, Spielbauer Fireworks Co., Dean Distributing, and the Village of Howard, the family-friendly festival in the Village Center will offer a variety of fun for all ages.

The event kicks off at 5 p.m. with live classic and contemporary rock music from The Presidents and a food truck rally hosted by the Green Bay Food Truck Coalition.

The adult volunteers of Boy Scout Troop 1113 will be selling cold beer with all proceeds benefiting troop activities.
Daryl Rogers Magic will perform free mini magic shows.

Face Painting by Lori will be offering full face art.

Dorothy of Festive Balloons will be twisting balloons and Joy of Joyful Henna Designs will be designing henna body art.

The music and activities will wrap around 9 p.m., which offers everyone time to settle into their lawn chairs to watch the annual professional fireworks display that will launch around 9:30 p.m. from Meadowbrook Park.

The fireworks are visible from Village Center and all nearby businesses and neighborhoods.
