GREEN BAY – Green Bay has a new mayor for the first time since 2003.
Eric Genrich topped Patrick Buckley on April 2 for the seat formerly held by Jim Schmitt, who did not seek a new four-year term.
Unofficial results show Genrich received 11,421 votes, or 57.61 percent, while Buckley earned 8,296 votes, or 41.85 percent. There were 108 write-in votes.
Genrich served six years in the Wisconsin State Assembly. Prior to that he worked as a librarian at the Brown County Library.
