FRCC wrestling awards announced

GREEN BAY – The 2018-19 Fox River Classic Conference season awards were recently announced for wrestling.

Ashwaubenon’s Cody Minor and Bay Port’s Max Meeuwsen were named co-wrestlers of the year.

Both won WIAA Division 1 state titles – Minor in the 113-pound weight class and Meeuwsen at 285.

First team: Ashwaubenon – Noah Leisgang, Dawson Dembroski, Connor Ramage, Nathan Moynihan, Minor; Bay Port – Alex Urban, Meeuwsen; De Pere – Shane Corrigan, Hunter Mashl, Tommy Kratz, Charlie Hooyman; Pulaski – Jadin Lemke, Lucas Gracyalny.

Second team: Bay Port – Drake Anderson, Austin Heim; De Pere – Sam Bruss, Daniel Fernandez; Green Bay Preble – Nicholas Huckins, Connor Derenne, Collin Derenne; Kade Cummings; Pulaski – Ashten Kapla, Derek Gibbons, Owen Heinz, Liam Fahey.

Honorable mention: Ashwaubenon – Marty Kiernan; Bay Port – Connor Halverson, Marcus Delfosse; De Pere – Andrew Lopez, Collin Hansen; Preble – Jakob Wolfe.
