Shrine Circus returns to Green Bay

ASHWAUBENON – The 2019 edition of the Beja Shrine Circus will return to the Brown County Veterans Memorial Arena March 1-3.

This is the 33rd year that the Beja Shriners has brought the Shrine Circus to Green Bay and it will be the last circus performed in the arena which is scheduled for demolition later this year.

“Beja Shriners are dedicated to bringing the best family-friendly and affordable circus to the Green Bay community,” said Mike Belanger, current leader of Beja Shriners. “We have been doing it for decades.”

There will be six performances over the three days. Friday evening, March 1, at 7 p.m. Saturday, March 2 at 11 a.m. 3 and 7 p.m. and Sunday, March 3 at 1 and 5 p.m.

Tickets are $20 for adult general admission ($24 for reserved seating) and a ticket for a child (2-12) ticket is $18/$24. Children under two are free but must sit on their parent’s lap.

See elephants, tigers, aerialists, acrobats, clowns and trained animals.

There will be over two hours of entertainment for children of all ages.

Arrive early for the pre-show activities that will include elephant, camel, and pony rides, bounce houses, and face painting. There is something for everyone.

Tickets are available at Ticketstar and at the box office. Free passes to admit a child with an adult general admission ticket are available at local businesses.

Proceeds from this event supports Beja Shriners so they can continue their good work within the community.

Beja Shriners is the local chapter of Shriners International, a fraternity based on fun, fellowship and the Masonic principles of brotherly love, truth, and relief.

Shriners International owns and operates Shriners Hospitals for Children, a 22-facility non-profit health care system throughout North America providing pediatric specialty care to children in need regardless of the family’s ability to pay.
